WELCOME to the Catholic Parish of Petrie and to our parish website

This site will hopefully provide you with all the information you require as well as give a broad overview of the many different activities that occur in our parish. In our community, you will find a warm welcome and a practical living of the Gospel in a variety of ministries and outreach to the wider community.

The celebration of the Eucharist is the life of the Church that enables all ministry to occur, gives each community identity and brings all into communion. As you share in the celebration of the Eucharist in the parish, may you be drawn deeper into the mystery of Christ among us and be more keenly aware of God’s great love for you.
If you are a new resident to the area, we extend a very warm welcome to you.

God bless,

This year’s Australian Bishops’ Social Justice Statement has the theme Cry of the Earth, Cry of the Poor. The statement affirms that “we human beings need a change of heart, mind, and behaviour” and draws from Scripture, from the theological tradition, from Catholic Social Teaching, and from the wisdom of the world, including the in-sights of the First Nations. The statement is available for download from the ACBC Office for Social Justice website by clicking here
