THE 2009 LEADERSHIP TEAM
 

Hi, I am Nathan and I’m 26 years old. I work as a Surveyor’s Assistant whilst studying surveying at Uni. I am happily married to Kirstin. In my spare time I enjoy listing to music with my favorite band being Good Charlotte, I also enjoy playing Halo 3 on the X-Box 360. I am a huge movie buff with my favourite movie being the Shawshank Redemption. 

Hi, I am Kirstin Akers and I am 26 years old. For work I am a café assistant and customer service staff at both Chermside and Strathpine Tenpin Boling centers. In my spare time I enjoy, reading dancing going to the movies and tenpin bowling (I am even in a couple of bowling leagues). But most importantly to know: I have a wonderful husband Nathan (another youth leader) and 2 beautiful pets a kitten (Sassy) and a puppy (Bella). My Faviourite Quote is: “Courage is not the absence of fear but rather the judgment that something is more important than fear. The brave may not live forever but the cautious do not live at all.”

My name is Mathew O’Sullivan but people call me Matt. I’m 18 and. I love the outdoors and the beach.  In my free time I play Rugby League for Pine Central Hornets. My favourite movie would have to be Kun-fu Panda or Pearl Harbour; my favourite bands are Sum 41, Linkin Park, Blink 182 and Nickelback. And my favourite quote is “One often meet his density on the path he takes to avoid it”. I have been involved with the youth group and parish for about six years now and this is my third year as a leader. I’m looking forward to the many different activities we are doing in now 10^th year as a youthgroup.

Hi my name is Nicole and I am 23 years old nearly 24. I used to work in childcare for the past 5 years and I loved it. I am now doing secretary work while hoping to study teaching. I love seeing my friends, shopping and dancing. I enjoy most music my favorite movie is dirty dancing.  My favorite quote is when one door closes another one opens.

Hi my name is Chris aka moo. I went to St Columbans but now I am a chef. I have played allot of sport and still play indoor soccer, I like to spend my free time relaxing seeing my friends and fire twirling and breathing. I like a lot of different music but you can’t go past rock its real music. I like a challenge so if you got one for me let me know.   

Hey my name is Joe Cotter I’m 22 years old, I’m a 4th year electrical apprentice, i think I’m the most random out of all the leaders I like fire twirling, playing cards and going on drives to the middle of nowhere for no real reason, I’m in a 7 year argument amount my nickname everyone calls me Wombles but I say there is only one of me so it should be Womble anyway I think that’s most of the important stuff about me oh yea and my favorite quote is two wrongs don’t make a right but three rights make a left... think about it.

Hey all! My name is Pat and I'm 22 years old. I've been involved with the youth group since I was 13 and have loved every minute of it. I am paramedic. I'm heavily involved with surf lifesaving, having done that since I was 12. I'd prefer the beach any day. I also love music. I play the piano and saxophone, and am happy to listen to most types of music, but love acoustic versions of songs. My favourite quote is 'Carpi Diem'

My name is Timothy O’Sullivan but people call me Timmy. I’m 16 and I’m in year 11 at Pine Rivers State High. I’m Matt and Jesse’s brother. I love history, world cultures, writing and the outdoors.  In my free time I am a Venturer at Petrie Scouts and I’m a blackbelt in Bushi kai. My favourite movie is the Kingdom of Heaven; my favourite bands are Sum 41, Linkin Park, Blink 182 and Nickelback. And my favourite quote is “Do not follow where the path may lead. Go instead where there is no path and leave a trail”. I have been involved with the youth group and parish for about six years now and it’s weird being a leader and finding out that things that I thought were just coincidences were actually organised. I’m looking forward to an action packed year.
