Year Six
TERM FOUR OVERVIEW
|
|
Integrated Unit
Throughout Term Three, year six explored ancient civilisations including Ancient Egypt and Ancient Greece. We investigated the government and social classes, culture (including arts and architecture), religious beliefs (gods and goddesses and ancient myths), everyday life (including family, food, markets, rural and city life) and the symbols and traditions associated with those civilisations.
Throughout Term Four we will be finalising our exploration of ancient civilisations and move onto the forces of nature in science.
Religion Unit
Throughout Term Three in Religion students had the opportunity to connect spiritural texts in light of the lives and times of the people of the world from historical, social and cultural contexts.
Throughout Term Four students will have the opportunity to identify a variety of expressions of spirituality in the Christian tradition and investigate the spirituality of significant people within and beyond the Christian tradition. Students will examine how the spirituality of these people influence individuals and communities.
